So, is anybody here still even reading my LiveJournal? Is there a point in posting into the eerie nothingness?

No, I would really like to know. My LJ experience seems to have changed as of recently, and I'm wondering is it just a glitch, or a natural evolution, or is it due to everyone having moved to Dreamwidth and not reading LJ any longer? So people have forgotten I exist??

Argh, and are you even posting / crossposting to LJ any longer? Because a lot of you I never see now!

Also, how long does it take to rebuild one's Friends list on Dreamwidth? And is it worth the bother?

Heya! I do read your LJ, but not as often as I read people on DW, so... if you'll be crossposting here, I'd most likely read you here.

Well, I'm still here and still can't be bothered to go anywhere else. Except maybe to sleep, soon.

You must have a very different flist to me, because mine barely seems to have changed at all! Unless I just didn't notice. That's a distinct possibility.

My Flist on LJ seems a lot slower these days. Could be the time of the year (end of the school semester and people gone for Memorial Day in the U.S. and the start of summer holidays). I'm still around though.

*waves* Still here. Can't be arsed with DW 'till all the early-adopters have weeded out the bugs and it works properly. Every time I try to Comment on "OpenID" it *insists* that I open a DW account before it will let me post.
No chance. *g*

I read both my DW and LJ flists, and crosspost. I am not abandoning LJ yet (although I may in the future).

My flists are different in each place. My DW flist consists of those friends who are directing comments there, or who have declared their intent to make it their primary journal, or who are reading me there, or who I didn't know on LJ.

Yes, I am reading you on LJ.

The DW vs. LJ split has been interesting. A very specific segment of my flist took off over there, and they seem to be settling in and happy there. This is a group that was heavily into SGA, are often active in OTW, and I know that they're either friends of each other, or their flists overlap quite a bit. As I said, they're a distinct subsection of my flist. They like DW.

Most of my flist is not there at all in terms of having conversations there, although many (like me) have set up accounts over there. I looked over my DW reading list yesterday, and noticed that very, very few of the posts there had comments. Most of the comments and discussion are still on LJ, for the people I interact with.

So DW has just resulted in the further splintering of my flists, since I have a number of people who are mostly over on IJ. So far, I don't see any big advantage to DW having come along (in terms of my personal experience, I mean). That would change, however, if they crack the coding problem with not being able to read locked or filtered posts on an RSS feed. If and when they pull that off, I can set up feeds for my LJ and IJ friends, and read them all on DW. That would be a good thing, and I predict that it would push more of my flist to actually be present on DW.

I'm still reading on LJ -- I sometimes follow comment only at DW links and sign in over there to comment, but don't really read over there because I'm not posting over there yet.

I'm not commenting much over here but that's because of being too freaking busy!

I'm idly sort-of-tracking where I am getting the most comments. Certain topics seem to ping the DW crowd, others the LJ crowd. Interesting.

Still here.
Rebuilding flist seems to go quick -- but one of the good things of DW is that is not excluding the use of LJ -- since one can cross post or comment with open ID.

Can't be arsed with DW; so, yes, I'm still around.

A LOT less enchanted with Cristiano Ronaldo nowadays, however. Thinking of transferring my fickle allegiance to Lionel Messi, whose floating-header in the CL final won my heart (for now).

Cannot say anything regarding to the DW-thing, as I'm trying to figure it out myself. But yes, am still reading! Of course! Just to swamped in work and such, so don't have much to say. But you're not the last one posting!

I'm back and reading for the summer! I hope. How do you mean your experience has changed? I think most people have moved on from my fandoms (Star trek seems awfully popular, and I haven't even seen the film, let alone read anything) so am expecting to have to catch up all over the place.

Re: DW, I'm only beginning to explore, and will crosspost until further notice - if I *do* migrate, it won't be discretely! How are you using DW?
