a new toy!

Thanks to ukcalico, I have discovered a new toy!! LJ paid user account picture scrapbook! Wheee!

Finally something to thank my paid-account-fairy from the bottom of my heart for! (And yay for appended prepositions.)

T'h says I should schedule into my new timetable the task of doing something I really want to do twice a month. Because I keep missing things that I really, really want to do through sheer inertia and depressed stupidity. And one day I will lie dying and just think regrets, regrets, regrets.

Most recent example: Jane Fonda was in Cambridge yesterday and I didn't go. I did marking instead!!! Now, am I going to lie on my death bed and congratulate myself on doing all that fucking marking???? I could bite my bum from sheer annoyance at self. Apparently, everyone who was anyone was there and she was fascinating and it was febulous and my office mate talked to her partner about it all night and and and... *bites bum*

And then I missed the Caravaggio exhibition in London! And I really, really wanted to go to that!

And five years ago I didn't apply for a really good job that had come up at Cambridge University and now I'm fucked in my present job and argh.

But t'h is right: look ahead. Or, as FL would say: jump in where you are. I will find something else I really want to do and this time I will do it. Can you all help me with that?

E.g., I really, really want to see the two Henry IV plays that are on in London right now. Really, really.
