I've noticed that the longer I don't post anything, the higher the posting threshold grows. Rarity has an effect; it makes every nugget that is posted seem portentous. And because I don't like my life to be portentous, I post not at all.

Also, because I'm so rarely here. I thought I was taking a holiday. But it's funny how absence can become a habit all unto its own.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I logged on because I really felt like reading some more Desert Prince. Then I remembered that I had to write it first.

Damn.

Any recs of late? Late being: last 3 weeks. (I know about [livejournal.com profile] freyafloyd's new chapter, and about [livejournal.com profile] natasha1805's new chapter, just haven't read them yet. )

Note: I've turned off my comment email option so it may be a while before I comment on comments in my LJ and never before I comment on comments to comments I've left in others' LJs because I'm afraid, as far as cruising LJ goes, I lose track. *g*

Where are you?!

When I come to London I want to stalk you. And [livejournal.com profile] ios_pillow_book wants an autograph from you!!! Omg, hold my hand, please!

Am in Cambridge.

Argh.
I'm in London for only 2 days (10th - 12th). LotR premiere. *clings*

Hm. I may go. Or I may not.

I teach during the day. Is that a weekend?

Yes, I can certainly understand how the absence can become a habit. I was surprised at how little I actually missed LJ over the past few days when I really didn't have any computer access. But once I'm near a computer again, the addiction is back.

Of course there won't be more Desert Prince if you don't write it! And this is distressing to me. So do it! *g*

I know. But I am either feeling cheerful and hence doing work on my book. Or I am busy and preparing teaching. Or I am feeling depressed and unable to write anything and in need of solace in the form of pic downloading. (Three guesses what I'm feeling right now...)

Well, at least you're feeling cheerful some of the time. *hugs you and all your pics*
